Should be. There's a thread around here somewhere way back in the annals of time about jumping this safety switch in order to be able to "starter crawl" when necessary. Follow the pedal up from the pad and there should be a switch in there somewhere with two wires, pull them off, tie a short piece of wire in, and give it a go.

Alright, keeping in mind that I'm a novice mechanic, can you give me a few more hints? I just went and looked and found a few wiring harnesses to the left of the clutch pedal arm, but none as I moved up it toward the underside of the dash. What am I missing?

BTW, I think I found the harness Mr. Lemond referenced earlier. It comes out by the (brake?) master cylinder at the driver's side of the firewall, travels next to the airbox/under the clutch fluid reservoir, around the front corner of the driver's side valve cover, then hooks into a plug under the throttle cable/body at the front end of the motor. To my untrained eye, it looks fine and feels as though it's firmly seated. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
