anyone have a source (other than matt @ indy4x...tried him already) or just happen to have lying around, an ecm for an '89 trooper, 2.8 v6, 5spd? not sure what others will work if someone has that knowledge and wouldn't mind sharing.

thanks.

PilotBob has one in a Trooper he bought from Jerry for parts. I know he's not going to use it cause we have been stripping the truck.
He bought the truck from Jerry. Ha!

thanks jerry. the trooper seems to be running better now than it ever has. i believe it may have had the wrong ecm since i've owned it.

thanks again for the responses and helping me get this thing going like it's supposed too.

Hey JMak

Would you happen to still have that ECM lying around that you mentioned in a post a couple years ago?(hopefully, it, your home, you, etc. hasn't been destroyed by the San Diego county fire this year)

I have a 91 troop, V6/5spd, that has a very sick little ECM. After replacing most all the electical components and it still trying to die on the highway, and get me killed in the process, I took my truck to a shop and where they diagnosed everything as tip-top, so by the rule of elimination, they determined that my ECM is dying.

I serious love my Trooper, and really don't want to just let er sit and rot, or worse, start canibalizing all her parts.

Thanks

Bryce

Hi
I still have it.
same deal

I nearly lost my troop Monday in the fire, the car next to me was burning at work from all the palm fronds in flames falling on it
the cops and FD freaked when I broke away from the evac group and ran over to my trusty troop and drove it outa there
they said hey were gonna arrest my sorry ASS
but they did not more important sh@@t to worry about
ISAVED HER
