Need a Spot
|
Im going to add an aux trans cooler to my truck and also keep the one in the radiator. What is the supply and return lines of the radiator trans cooler.
Thanks for any input!

I don't remember off-hand and mine isn't at work today. But you can find out by pulling the lines and sticking them in a bucket, then firing it up. That's how I found out. You're going to get messy anyway when installing the cooler. Do it while the engine is cold so any splashing tranny fluid won't be hot. It doesn't come out with crazy high pressure.
If you can get someone to fire it up for you that's even better.
when looking for a container to hold drained brake fluid, find a container that is different from the beverage you are currently consuming.

IIRC, its the rearward most line on the tranny.

Got home and took a look at mine. If you are looking at the lines under the alternator, there are two lines running out to the stock trany cooler. The driver side line is the outbound fluid line. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

Ya, thanks for the help. I ended up just running the truck in gear for a few seconds and felt the lines, the hotter being the supply line to the stock cooler.
