The factory stereo in my 01 4runner has been acting up. Sometimes it doesn't come on at all, sometimes it works, sumtimes the digital readout will show a display but nothing else works. This factory unit has several components. I was wondering if anyone had a similar problem with their factory stereo.

I've disconnected and removed the stereo and the small amp or whatever that is connected to it and reconnected and still nothing works. Is there any hope or should I keep looking at aftermarket equip.
