I went down to get 3 passenger P.Window swithes for my P.W. headache.
Picked up a brushguard of a newer 4 runner . With miner cuting it looks to fit good. $40.!!!

Went over too check on a 89 4 door with the rare manuel tranferr case..

He crushed it last week <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif" alt="" />

I'm not sure what you mean by rare...I've seen lots of '89, '90, and even '91 4-doors with manual trannies. I just saw a '91 this last weekend.

There's a black '92 for sale right now, just up the road from me. 2500 is what they're asking, but it's been for sale awhile. I THINK it had around 150k on the ticker.

I remember test driving a new one back in the day, and LS I believe. I remember being anoyed that you could not get the SR in a manual.

I should have bought it instead of the stupid "Y"uppie "J"eep Wrangler. Live and learn

I didn't finish my original post , as the Library only allows 30 / day here, had 1 minute countdown when I clicked post...

I wanted to get the manual Trans and the case. I have wear in the tailpiece, output shaft ,etc. on the tranfer case. The T.case on this one was tight and not leaking.
My M.T. has about 225K on it . I would have liked to have that trans to rebuild and have on hand .
This is the only V6 trans I've ever found in a salvage yard. I got the H. B. off it last year ,,,and now it' gone, boo hoo.

There's still an '89 automatic V6 T. case with 135k street miles on it. My parts sheet says they are different tail piece part number.

I'm going back in a few days for a John Baker reciever , fan clutch, and whatever else that looks recently replaced on an '89 Auto 4 door with like 285k on it. Gotta be some new parts on it with that many miles on it.
These yards on a giant sand dune (mesa ) that overlooks the Oceano/Pismo Dune Rec. Area.
