Will an upgraded intake and exhaust prevent a blown head gasket from increased fuel consumption by allowing the engine to breath more?

I really don't have an answer for that, as you already know, there is very little info out there on these engines. My advice would be to get a pyro, and boost gauge, from what little I've been able to find, the safe max is 15 PSI, but the stock blowoff valve is set to 12 psi I think. Anything to help a diesel breath better is a good thing, so opening things up will hurt nothing and might help control EGTs too. I might try to cross reference an ARP head stud that fits, because as of right now, stock head bolts are all there is. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
