Getting the Wheeling Fever

well i am attempting to do my own bearings in the rear, i have done bearings for carier and pinions before but i wasnt installing them so i was wondering were there any tricks besides putting it all back the way it came out?
several people say if you put it back with the shims it came with it should be ok, oh and a new crush sleeve.
