If you decide not to go with replacing the whole axle, it really is not all that difficult to pull it apart and replace the grease and the rubber parts. I found the hard part was getting the axle out of the truck and you will have to do that either way. I could not get the axle out until I unbolted the lower ball joint. Also had a hard time getting the nuts on the inner flange undone. They were very tight the first time. Had to borrow my brother in law's good impact wrench and then use it without any extensions etc. Finally broke them loose.
