Thanks for the welcome Diesel Bob<img src="/forums/images/graemlins/patriot.gif" alt="" />

Well...this system does not give you a choice.. its full time 4 wheel drive. No switches, no hubs, just a gauge on the dash that tells you which wheels are being driven by the engine. Its a kool little gauge that looks like 4 little tires and has a proportional diode light that lites up each little tire to tell you what percentage of engine torque is being delivered to each wheel at any given moment. It does have a hi/lo transfer case. The TOD stands for Torque On Demand.....

I don't know if you've ever driven off road and then pulled onto a paved highway and forgotten to disengauge the locking hubs, and then while turning the wheels real tight to the left or right creates a "binding feeling" because the inside wheel to the direction of the turn is traveling at a SLOWER rate than the "outside" wheel. This is exactly the feeling that I am getting...It acts "kinda" normal going in a straight line down the street, but if I turn especially very sharply she'll start binding, then breaking loose, then binding again. Also there is a red "check" lite that is under this TOD gauge that is "flashing" Hummmmmm??? trying to tell me something I think!! But what??

I thought I'd get more feedback on this issue as this is basically the same drivetrain that is on the other Isuzu 4X4's Rodeo with the 3.5L engine...Maybe this is a seldom occuring problem...Still trying to figure it out???
