I hate jumping on these forums only when I have a problum...but time constraints and lack of knowledge really keep out of here very often.
I have a '93 Toyota Delux with a 3.0. The front right manual locking hub was not working so we took it off and replaced. Low and behold, that is not the problum. The hub is locked (and has been) in the locked position and will not free itself. I have just begn driving this truck and know very little about it.
That being said, I was driving the past 2 weekends and locked the driver side hub and it acted like it never grabbed. So, when I was at the shop this morning, I locked the driver side (passenger side seems to remain locked) and the jacked up all 4 wheels. Put it in 4 wheel High and Low and I could stop the front tires with my hand. That does not seem to be right at all!
Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated!
O' ya, the drive shaft and "drive arms" to the wheels are spinning and seem to be doing fine, they just are not getting much torque to them.
