Stock rim size depends on the package you got... if you know the chassis code: V44WG (or 24 if you're super cool and going with a shorty ) means it should have flares, and comes stock with 31x1050s on 15x7 rims. Otherwise it may have p series on 15x6. Unless it has aftermarket wheels...

Anyways, with the flares, the wheels have a slightly bigger offset, and I put 33x1050s on my 15x7 rims with no modifications at all. If you're getting a stick, you could end up with 529 diff gears. Mine shipped with 488s, but even with 33s on there, I'm at 3500rpm at 120kmh. Needless to say I try to keep it below that. 33s made my truck much more driveable on the highway.

Any pics of your rig?

You have 15x7 rims if they are stock. Phil and I compared our trucks a bit last week, and the wheels on his have a bit more backspacing, probably an option with the fender flared models.

The Pajero I bought is an XP and has the fender flares. Looks to me like it has 31 x 10.5's on it. I only have tow pics available to me but I will see if I can post them.

I was thinking about gettting an OME suspension set for it right off the hop, which consits of 4 shocks and two new coils for the back since it made such a huge difference on my Rodeo. It raises the truck about 1.5 " give or take; I wanted to do this so I could fit 32's but you say 33's will fit without mods eh? nice to know especially if the gearing is that low. I thought 410's in the Rodeo was low!

Do you have pics of yours on here?

2" body lift . takes 2 hrs with two people and pretty easy to do. I fit 32's and have an auto.

Check your gearing to see what tires will be better for you.

Is it an auto or 5spd ?

I know 4 people who have imported from terra2. Out of the 4, only 1 was happy with what they actually received compared to what they were 'told' they would receive.

Shipping with them appears to be hit and miss. One guy bought a Pajero from them in June and it still hasn't shipped. They keep bumping it in lieu of other vehicles in the shipping yard/lines.

I have heard good and bad things about them.

Good luck and hopefully you get one of their good one's in a good time frame.

I'm also wishing you good luck... I cancelled my deposit with Gerry after he admitted that his agents had actually bid against me on a Pajero I wanted at an auction. There's a wealth of info on this board regarding importing one yourself, and you save a bundle that way. Jfarsang, myself and several others did it ourselves, and I think most of us are pretty happy with the vehicles and the savings over having someone else do the legwork, which isn't all that much.

Here's the most recent pic of mine on 31s. These are the wheels with less backspacing than Phil's:

I bought through JDMConnection. William was great to deal with. The "Surprises" that my truck arrived with were not his fault.

Personally I'm glad I used the broker for my first import. the legwork would be a lot more difficult to arrange from Albera as compared to the local Vancouver guys. But, I'm going to go it alone for my 2nd import.

I'm surprised to hear you bought on seeing only 2 photos. JDMC sent me about 8-10 initially, then I got dozens of mine after I laid down a deposit. I also requested specific photos which they took and sent to me within a day.

I really don't want to rain on your parade and I sincerely hope yours works out! Post pics!

Yes I took a risk for sure and I am hoping that I don't get burned. I asked a ton of questions and had a guy I know who speaks and reads Japanese go over the inspection report which was also shown. I should have requested photos but I didn't so that's my own fault. I am just going by what the agent told me and it sounded pretty good. Definately a few nicks or dings here or there but i was told about them. The vehicle is a manual and i looked for about 2 months for this vehicle so i jumped on it when it came up. We will see how it goes and if the importer comes through then I may buy a second from them. If not, well I know a lot of people who are interested in buying over seas and i will tell them not to bother with Terra 2. The only other one I was able to find that seemed trustworthy wanted about 18000$ for this one they show with low kms. I wouldn't even pay that for a 1992 mercedes G wagon despite what kind of condition its in. For that price I would hope it would drive itself. Anyway, thanks for the warnings about Terra 2. The vehicle is paid for so it better get here. They said 8 weeks so time will tell.

Oh and its a 5 spd for those who asked. I am still trying to figure out how to post a pic on this site.

Now Im off to send nick Williams a request to update me on my vehicle purchase now that I am worried lol

Ouch, $2900 USD at the auction? (At least what I could guess from http://english.auto.vl.ru/auctions/) My 94K fully-loaded Exceed went for under $2000 at auction in January to a dealer, who sold it to me for $6500 FOB New Westminster. Ended up being just under $8K with swapped headlights, inspection, taxes, duties, and 4 almost-new tires.

Hope you got a good one.

Regardless, any auction vehicle can have surprises in them.

Good luck on a speedy shipment.

Is it coming RORO or container ?
