I have a 22r that I'm trying to get running (still <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />) and am confused about the fuel pump. Truck came with an inline electric pump on the passenger side frame rail; there is a block off plate on the side of the head where the mechanical pump goes and there is no return fuel line; it was plugged up with a bolt through the hose.

Anyways, the pump went out after a year and I replaced it with the same style electric pump from autozone. The page says it puts out 2.5 to 4.5 psi. Do I need to fab a fuel return line? Does it need a regulator? I was curious if it put more stress on the pump by not having a return. I keep a spare just in case. Also, not sure if its related but, my truck has always ran very rich for some reason.
