Need a Spot
I am looking to put an electric fan on my 92 4x4 pickup, I have a 3.0 in it. Does anybody know what CFM fan I should shop for? Has anybody put a fan that they would recommend? Thanks

I have been running the Flex-a-lite . Black Magic e-fan in my '90 3.0. since '98 w/o problems. I wouldn't run anything else. I did try one from Kragen, it was supposed to be 2500CFM but it made my truck overheat. You can wire up junkyard fans, but for a little more than $200 the Black Magic comes with everything you need, as well as mounting brackets to fit the Toyota. Summit Racing usually has them the cheapest. You don't want anything less than 2800cfm

If you are having cooling issues right now, you need to fix them before changing fans, an e-fan (or any fan) wont solve a non-fan overheating issue

So you're running the FLX-150 and not the FLX-165? Apparently the FLX-165 is designed specifically for 89-94 Toyota 4x4 applications?

I've had the Black Magic 165 for over 7 years with no problems. Works great...

No, I have the FLX-165, the link I gave was from a quick search. When I bought mine there wasn't any difference in price, so I assumed the prices were still the same.
