If you wire the thing wrong it will fry. Look in the box and get the wiring diagram. What are the wires on the gauge? Should have a wire to ground, a wire to hook to the instrument lights, and a gauge signal wire to hook to the sender, and maybe two of them. Wire count and colors, please. One or two wiring tabs on the sender that screws into the engine?
