That's what the Buck Truck is for.

Orange? You ain't seen nothin'. Wyoming requires a hat, or a vest, but not both, and orange camo is approved. Colorado is much tighter. My regalia for Colorado elk hunting is completely orange. Mebbe I don't trust the average elk hunter in Colorado? Naww... ya think?

The game warden wandered down to check a nice big tender doe my buddy got. No orange at all.

As far as anything bigger than a 'lope or medium deer, no, that rig won't do it. For elk the conditions are colder and cleaner generally, and I use the hide as a tarp. The truck, however, does fine duty as game fetcher where we hunt (popular but unnamed 4x4 area... ) - once we get the game to the trail however.

It is a common misconception among old hunters that leaving the trail with an ATV or vehicle is permissible to retrieve game. Absolutely untrue. Buck truck, horse, or pack only.
