Need a Spot

hi, i'm new here, i joined because i'm getting a cherokee soon, not completely sure which one i'm getting though. I'm looking at an 89, 4.0 automatic, 4 door, needs a muffler and the e-brake cable needs to be tightened, it has 213,000 miles but runs like a top. The guy is asking $500, i think he would take $350...it has no rust, does this sound like a good idea?
