Hey All,
I have a serious overheating problem w/ my Toyota truck. Ive replaced the water pump and the thermostat and it still bubbles up! It runs okay if I leave the thermostat out but then I dont have heat in the truck....and I still have to add water a couple times a week to the radiator.....
Please help! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Might be due to a bad head gasket. To test for that condition, pressure test the cooling system, look for a pressure rise with the engine revving. Or do a chemical test on the coolant:

Pull and check your spark plugs. See if one or more are "white" - if they are, you're probably leaking coolant into those cylinders. Then do leak down test and watch those cylinders closely- I'm doing my 3.0L fot the second time right now (dealer did it 1st time under warranty about 100,000 miles ago). Good luck.
