The other day I noticed a small puddle (probably about 1 teaspoon) of gear oil under the transfer case. Thought, uh-oh, what's leaking now? Crawled underneath and noticed it had leaked around the fill plug and also from the top of the front of the transfer case. I could not see any seal where the leak might be coming from. Does the transfer case have a vent somewhere? Drove it for the next several days and no more leak (knock on wood). Not sure what happened. I had a Jeep that once or twice a year the transfer case would "burp" a little gear lube- never could figure out why.
Anyway, any ideas?
