Transfer case should also have a GL-4. It has a synchronizer for the front drive shaft so you can "shift on the fly".

Differentials should have 80W-90 GL-5.

For chassis grease (u-joints, ball joints) I use a NLGI #2 Lithium base grease.

Power steering should be nothing but Dexron type ATF.

*Edit* garym beat me to the power steering.

5VZ-FE engine
I've used standard Castrol 5w30 changed at 5k intervals for most of the last 235,000. No problems.

Manual Transmission
MT-90 (same)

Transfer
Redline 75w90 gear oil

Differential (looking to replace it)
Redline 75w90 gear oil

Chassis
One size fits all... Yes, you're supposed to use two different types though (moly and non-moly).

Brakes
NAPA DOT4

Clutch line
NAPA DOT4

Steering
Use Dextron type ATF, as it says in the owners manual and right on the cap. Sometimes I use synthetic on my wheeler, but I don't know if I've ever even replaced the PS fluid on my T.

Body Damage is Cool
5VZ-FE engine
I've also used standard Castrol 5w30 changed at roughly 5k intervals. Tried the high mileage green jug variety for a few changes and found all the leaks in my valve covers. Back on the white jug now with new seals.

Manual Transmission
Mobil 1 75/90 (looking at Royal Purple Synchromesh, more readily available here than Redline)

Transfer
Mobil 1 75/90

Differential
Royal Purple 75w90

Chassis
Mobil1 syn on the ujoints and steering (have greasable endlinks on the SA stuff), "Green" marine grease in the hubs

Brakes
DOT3

Clutch line
DOT3 I guess...never added any or changed it

Steering
Dextron type ATF

5VZ-FE engine
Mobil1 10W-30 for the last 20K miles (I'm at 194K and the Mobil 1 didn't make the valve covers leak any worse)

Automatic Transmission
Whatever it came with when I purchased the truck with 121K. Looking to replace this with a synthetic; probably Mobil 1 or Redline.

Transfer
Generic non-synthetic 75W-90

Rear Differential
Mobil1 75w90

Front Differential
Generic non-synthetic 75W-90

Chassis and Hubs
Mobil1 synthetic (aggravates the snot out of me how the stuff seperates and oozes out of my grease gun)

Brakes
Toyota OEM DOT4

Steering
Dextron type ATF (never changed it)

TRANSFER-Could you recommend something, please?
I'm little bit confused. Others say Redline 75w90 gear oil
and looks like this is "Exceeds API GL-5"
How often exchanged?

Thanks

I put the same thing in my transfer case that I put in the transmission, Redline MT-90.

I don't know how often you should change it.

The MT-90 is probably better for the t-case since it has a synchro for 2wd-4wd. I actually don't remember which I used. Not that big a deal, but shifting from 2wd-4wd on the fly would probably work better w/ the MT-90 because of the additives for the synchros.

I usually change all the fluids every 30k. Including the brake/clutch fluid, since it absorbs moisture that will corrode the piston bores and cause leaks.

5VZ... Mobil 1, or Syntec 10W-40, YZZD1 filter

Cooling.. factory red fluid

R150... MT-90

Transfer... MT-90

Front/Rear axles... Redline 75W90NS... cheaper

Hydraulic fluid... ATE Typ200 (DOT4)... just because I have it

Steering... Redline D4... again, just because I have it

Driveshafts. Valvoline Lithium or Lithium + Moly grease depending on specification. I don't know if it matters smile

Wheel bearings... Amsoil GHD

Front axle stubs... inside spindle... Mobilith SHC PM 460

I am looking at some new dealer ball joints right now. For the uppers it looks like they are using a lighter grease like the SHC 460. In the lower there is a heavier black grease.
