I just went through this last year and I ended up getting the Pirelli's as I got them a lot cheaper than anything else comparable. I ran them last winter and have no complaints about them. They're worlds better in dry and wet traction than the Michelin X-radials I run in the summer. My only thing is that I got 275/70 16 because it was 20+ a tire cheaper than the 245/75 16 or stock 265/70 16 (which are both 31" and the 275 is about 31.5) is I don't have enough weight to sink them in really hard packed snow. So for you the question is do you want the a little tire size increase or a bit better drive ability as I notice going between my from summer to winter that mileage(up about 1.5 on the day I changed sets) is better and acceleration is a bit better just due to the gearing matching the stock tires better. so for you I guess that I would rather have the better mileage and acceleration than a bit taller tire if your always on road, anyways just my .02.
