You might want to look at the firestone/bridgestone Destination AT. I was researching tires about two years ago, for similar driving conditions. The reviews on Tirerack.com are quite good. In comparison to other tires, it was a consisting B across the board. I personally liked the across the board aspect of that, as I'm as likely to be in snow as mud or grass or pavement.

I've had the tires for about 2 years now, and have been very well pleased with them. They work well in all the conditions I've been in. I am not an offroad fanatic, so I haven't gone rock crawling or beach cruising. They've handled snow & rain without issue or incident. They handle cornering harder than I should just fine. They've driven around the farms and such superbly. They have worn well, and balanced well.

I described them as Firestone/Bridgestone because I've had to order them from a Firestone dealer as bridgestone tires, yet they came clearly marked Firestone.

I would buy another set in a heartbeat.
