Got me some new shoes yesterday. 285/75R16 (~33x11~ roughly) Mud Dawgs on 16x8 black D-hole steelies. Never heard of the tire before, no clue who it's made by. Says Summit on the sidewall, but it's not Summit Racing. They look like a cross between the MT/R and the BFG MT.
Anywho, They ride AWESOME. Had to give the tire jockey a little beer money for getting the balance so good. Had it up to an indicated 80mph this morning with absolutely no shimmy. Still need to align it. Need to replace the pitman and idler first. That's next week.
Also got Bilstein's coming next week for it, as well as, the necessary stuff for correcting the speedo. Going to put some GenII coils under it(whenever I can get to Lawrenceville to get them from DavidG ) and tweak the t-bars, then get it aligned.
Got the oil cooler lines to fix one oil leak, and the front crank seal to fix the other.
Got all the stuff to do the GenII front brake swap. Got Superwinch hubs ordered, as well as an air compressor to add OBA. Got a line on an SR axle(if bOURGE comes thru ) keeping my fingers crossed on that one. Then I need an ARB or LSD for the front and I'll be ready for Tellico in March!
Still haven't figured out what I want to about bumpers or sliders. Might go with Don, but I'll probably make them myself (with a little help from a welder friend ) Which means I'll buy the beer and ensure proper temperature and disbursement during said project

BTW, pics will be forthcoming

Sparky, you still need my old spare wheel?

EDIT: Forgot this part. Went with 5 of the same size wheels and tires. Can I hang the spare using a spacer on the back?

Yes, I do still want the spare steel rim.

I just want to tell you both good luck, and we're all counting on you.

Depending on the backspace of your rims, you may not need a spacer for the spare. I have a 33x12.5 on my Raider's rear door.

4" BS on the wheel. Held it up to it, and it touches the threads, but won't go up onto them. I had a regular wheel spacer in mind. That's all it looks like I need. Roughly an inch or so...
If anybody has one they will turn loose of, let me know please.

Got an SR axle coming by Friday. Axle, stud to stud, trailing arms, pump and driveshaft. Delivered from SC for $600. Not bad, but nowhere close to Sparky's deal

Figured out the spare attachment dilemma (with the help of DavidG ) Apparently the BS on my new wheels is closer to 5". From what I read on here, I figured they shouldn't work. But, they do. And they look real swell. Gotta get some pics up on here. Having computer troubles at home. Anywho, I'm looking for a spacer or adapter to give another inch of distance between the tire/wheel and the back door. If anybody knows a good source, I'd appreciate it.

Thought about doing that, and it will work. But, my wheels are purty.
And, I'd rather my Monty have a purty
