Wow how much more space do you need?!?!? I run 33x12.5's mounted on 15x8" rims w/ 3.75 or 4" backspacing (sorry I'm pretty sure its 4" but don't remember 100%) and I simply used about 1/2" of 1/2" washers (4-5 washers) as spacers. No need for special bolts for me.

32x11.5s on 15x8 4in back space fit with no touching.
If you have any problems or questions about the swap, PM me and I will give you my phone#. I am no expert, but I am not as dumb as some of the pics I post.
I just want to tell you both good luck, and we're all counting on you.

Just looking at the tire in relation to the body, it appears he has about 4.5" of backspace. The outside of his tire sits just about where my 32x10.50s sit with (I think 4" B/S), so the extra inch +/- is to the inside compared to mine. My spare fits the carrier just fine, but just barely.

My wheels are 16x8 with 5" BS and 12mm offset. The spare WILL NOT fit on the carrier. No way, no how. DavidG even saw for himself the other nite. Knowing what Eddy said, I'll remove the bracket and space it out on the body side. I'll have the spacers I got on fleabay for use on the front if the width is an issue to me(I'm anal retentive, so I'll probably use them) The next thing I kind of need an answer on is the strength of the bolts required for attaching the brake pad saddles and the driveshaft. As stated in a previous post, the brakes weren't included with the axle. Talked to the JY, guy said he'd credit me $75 and send me the old brakes. Pretty happy about that. So, just in the mean time, do y'all think I'll have any problems using 8.8 bolts for attaching the pad saddle to the axle, as well as using them for the driveshaft attachment? Just until the used brakes come in next week? I plan on getting started this afternoon after work. Wish me luck

I would use the 8.8's if it was something I was in the middle of now, then when the 10.9's come in, just change them out one at a time. Normal driving shouldn't put that much strain on the bolts. Besides, the shear rating is of a single bolt in a test rig, you're using multiple bolts and you also have the friction of the two items mating surfaces that are bolted together.

My thoughts too. I just wanted a second opinion. I won't be wheeling at all until the original stuff comes. Just to and from work (.7 miles, nobody shoot me ) and to church and stuff. Thanks!

UPDATE
Replaced the oil cooler lines, as well as the banjo bolts and wasker gaskets. That leak is fixed.
Replaced all of my window switches with Mitsu ones. That problem's fixed.
Got the driveshaft out and mated the donor flange to the recipient driveshaft. NO ISSUES with this part of it. So, I guess the rest is just semantics Knock on wood. BTW, a pitman arm puller makes for a dandy tool to remove and install the u-joint caps.
Going to set up the brakes on the SR axle and call it a night. I'll get back to it in the morning and let ya'll know my progress.

Glad the U joints matched up for you.
Did you get the parking brake cables with the new axle?
The only hard part left is moving heavy axles around.
Also, safety first, make sure the truck is very secure before getting under it and shifting weight. But you already knew that.

Yeah, I got the parking brake cables. I decided not to stop til I got the axle out. Going home to shower and get some sleep. I'll get back at it in the morning. I'll post tonite's pics in the morning before I get started.

Here's the pics from last nite. First 2 show how I used the Pitman Arm Puller to do the u-joint. The finished product. The open diff out of the truck The empty hole ![[Linked Image]](http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc301/larrymphelps/Photo_102007_011.jpg) The SR axle set up and ready to go in. That thang is high!!! So far I've used 4 sizes of wrenches/sockets. 14mm, 12mm, 10mm and 15/16". The brake lines are a 10mm line wrench. Pan hard, lower shock mount, trailing arms are all 15/16. Old driveshaft bolts, upper shock mounts and the brackets holding the brake cables in are 14mm and 12mm. It was really straightforward and rather simple. Thanks to the detail in the old threads from Sparky, 52Degrees, and Justice. As of right now, I don't have anything to add to their writeups on this swap. I really lucked out getting an axle that goes in without driveshaft amalgamation. More posts and pics later today, upon completion
