Getting the Wheeling Fever
troubles with the clutch. when the pedal is held down, the clutch slowly engages. i can hear the fork creak as it re-engages. it happens only now and again. no visible leaks so the question is which cylinder it is, top or down below?

No leaks would indicate upper cylinder... leaking back around the piston internal rubber seal.

Yup, bypassing.

Luckily, repair parts and rebuild kits are available, cheap and fairly easy to install. Easy two hour (beverage breaks included) project with hand tools.

got it, i got both rebuild kits for ~$50. i figured i might as well do the slave as well. found a small ping on the master seal and some crud in slave at the end of the cylinder. a couple of hours and badda bing! thx for help/advice <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
