Mine was cracked when I bought it a year ago. The crack is just below the driver's side leaf spring and at 1st I thought it was a leaking seal or brake fluid but after I cleaned it up with some carb cleaner I could see the crack.
I sealed up the crack with some epoxy to keep water out. Someday I will get it welded but it doesn't appear to be getting longer yet.
