No, you don't want to try putting on a CV joint yourself. It has to be welded on, and welding things on rotational pieces is critical to maintain proper balance. Get it done by a driveshaft shop. If I remember correctly, I paid about $100 bucks to have a local shop do mine. That included the CV joint, as well as the labor. It also included a new U-joint at the aft end of the driveshaft, which I had them change as long as the shaft was out.
