hello, I have posted here before about a nutter bypass issue i am having. i have tried everything and still no chance in the jeep starting. I have an 89 YJ with the mc2100 carb on it. I have done the TFI ignitionupgrade(new larger cap and rotor and new performance coil). After I did the carb swap I tried to do the nutter bypass. The jeep starts before i did this bypass but it runs like crap. when i did the bypass there is no starting. WHen i turn the key over it just turns over. It doesn't matter which way I turn the distributor(advancing it or not) it doesn't affect the way it turns over. It's like there is no spark. I have tken pics of what I did. I just can't post them. If someone needs them let me know and I can show you them. I soldered all the wires and taped them as well to make sure I was doing it right. the module works fine because the jeep start and runs with no bypass done to it. I have been driving it with no butter bypass for the last 6 months. it just runs like crap. want to get this nutter bypass figured. everythings seems fine. after i did the nutter and it didn't start. I took the wires and put them back to stock. with everything sitting wright where it is in the pic(didn't move the mcu from fender ONLY changes wires) it started right up without hesitation. why would this be?? as far as the distributor positioning goes....i loosed the bolt and tried starting it with someone turning the dist(advancing it back and forth) not even a hint of engine firing. just keeps turning over and killing battery(good thing I got a good one) please help!!!
