i started thinkin and am curious. how will this work, dont know anything about turbos but thet use exhaust gas.is that an exhaust pipe/header your making?will an extra pipe come off for turbo? will you need to modify fuel injectors or computer or mass airflow sensor. and what about 02 sensors?will you remove catalytic converter...my list of questions goes on..all i know is i need much more power than i have now. good luck i really want to see this work, and still be streetable, and able to crawl around in low gear in the woods without trouble. will you use an intercooler or is this a must with a turbo?

yeh mate it has turned out well........i have since started on makin the pipes for each exhaust runner...yes it is a header style turbo manifold....each pipe will be a different length to help with spoolin the turbo up....it is better to have all the pipes the same length but i want boost to come on low in the rev range so i have decided to make the manifold "interference type"...one good thing is that i can now loose the air flow meter as i am goin a "stand alone computer"....which is controlled by a map sensor and not airflow........injectors need to be changed as the originals are airbleed style and they can only flow a maximum of 130cc of fuel at 100%duty cycle....need at least 400 to cope with the turbo.......due to the compression in the engine it is highly advisable you run an intercooler.....have a few ideas in that area but i will post up the ideas when i come to it ....the hardest part at the moment is gettin the exhaust manifold right.......when i finish the pipes the face of the flange plate that bolts to the head will need to be milled flat as it will distort from the heat ........hey a small thing i noticed.......did you know that there is a oil port on the left hand side of the head at the front.....yeehah....dont have to worry about tappin into a oil gallery hey........

Looks Cool!!! Where did you get the snorkel??? Other than the steering wheel being on the wrong side everything looks great. Like the front skid plates. Did you do one for the transfer case, tranny, and gas tank? wellone and all here is the start of my turbo fit up..... have been flat out at work and i havent done much.... and am still waitin for some more bits to arrive..... first of all you need to make some ROOM for the the turbo.......
the battery in the oz ones sits right against the firewall on the left hand side of the engine bay.....to make romm(and a heap at that)..you need to relocate the battery longways so it sits against the left guard.......made a few brackets.....and mounted the battery tray like so and all you do is lengthen the positive cable ....used huge battery cable for good power supply .......seems to have made a difference to performance just by doin that ......but i dont think so....the battery was disconnected for a while and when i connected it , its goin heaps better .....so i think i cleared some gremlins hey.....haha.. more in a couple of days .....Ads Pirahna do a tray for a duel battery set up that puts the second battery in front of the brake booster. Have to move the fule filter. it would give you more space for the turbo.

why not just move the battery to the trunk? there is already a small cubby for the tire tools that im sure have long gone away for good tools to take thier place. or mount an optima battery off the frame. you can do anything with those batteries. i had one fall out of my car (was just come-a-longed to the rad support) it hit the ground and got dragged uncer my car. even half squished and cracked once i replaced the starter i figured what the hell and it actually had juice to start a 10-1 compression v8.
