I would throw this out of court just because of the faulty premise below.

Quote
"The 1999 Trooper was improperly designed in such a manner that, when the right rear door is opened, the door obscures the right rear lights, reflectors and emergency hazard lights from the view of vehicles approaching from behind," the lawsuit states.

unless there is a design difference in this one Trooper, the right rear door does not need to be opened to retrieve the exterior mounted spare or the jack / handle and lug wrench located inside the left rear storage area. Could it be that the operator of the vehicle unintentionally placed themselves at risk by not properly securing said spare tire and jack in the locations provided for this purpose by the vehicle manufacturer.

What "DOOR" are they speaking of: All the Troopers I have seen have the "2" Doors and Tire is mounted on the back "Door" on the LEFT Side when Opened, with the Right side door when opened making it very "stubby". Also as far as I know: The Jack and tools are still located under the drvers seat?

What Design Flaw? Isuzu made it easy to change a Flat on a Trooper. I can change mine in 10 min if that. Ive done it in the Snow too, Not that hard..... Instead of a LawSuit, Just MOVE ON. No one else has EVER had this Issue. But those 2 "Kids".
