My moms cousin is Mormon and she has been giving 10% for over 40 years. She has Alzhiemers really bad and has no money for assisted living care but she still forks over the 10% of the nothing she has. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> At some point I'd like to see her church help her out instead of my mom paying for everything. Bottom line is she should have put all that money in a small capitol long term investment. I'm not bashing the Mormon religeon just her church and the fact that she still pays 10% of her SS. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/barf.gif" alt="" />

I've heard from someone on the inside...well they used to be a JW...that they say it's the hardest working 144k that get to go to heaven. So next time they are knocking on your door, ask them if they are there to save your soul or are they there to save their own soul. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shame.gif" alt="" />
And from what I understand, the JW's have to go through armageddon and "Witness" how bad it is...meanwhile the other religions say you get raptured straight to heaven just as armageddon starts...now call me crazy, but if I were a religious person, i'd rather go before all the bad stuff happens! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

if someone pays 10% on their gross income i dont know why she pays it since she already has, although its up to her, nobody is saying she has to, if she is in need the church has a great welfare program, she can get all the food she needs for free, however any cashflow will be upto Uncle Sam...

JWs dont know if they're one of the 144k, since they dont believe in revelation, they believe the earth will be made new again and if your one of the 144k youll live on a perfect earth, if your not you cease to exist, because they believe there is no hell... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />...hence they rewrote the Bible in order to meet their needs. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

I was talking to the JWs about that very subject. They think we just cease to exist unless your one of the few that are allowed to live forever. We Catholics were threatend with hell for any sins commited and everything seamed to be a sin. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" /> I dont think heaven or hell is imposed but created by us. If you lived your life wrong then your spirit might be tormented but I really doubt there is some guy with a pitchfork wanting to rule our souls. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> Thats just Hollywood.

I'm sure the truth is spectacular and divine but could still be scientifically explained givin enough research.

I too served a Mormon mission. I spent two years in Ireland. I used a note pad to mark down the houses that were not interested in our message. That way we would not be wasting their time or ours. We never had any thing like the sheet you found.

I do belive in helping my neighbor with as much help as I can give. But if some body asks me for my personal belongings that has no need of them, other than to stuff them in a box. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />

I love arguing we can from monkeys, I LOVE IT. They think we came from "god". ILL argue all day about that I Strongly Belive in the EVOLUTION of it all and I will. Someone show me where we came from. Evolution Baby. Thats the ONE and ONLY Answer They will disagree to the point that I have to stop. Then do it some more. I JUST had a JW show up again. Said some "Nice" things as they looked at me. Just like there is room for everyone in Japan, right. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" /> Pretty soon we will have to be limited to how many kids we can have cause we have let to many people in. And there will be no more wilderness because it will be inhabited by humans. There are plenty of childbirths here in the US to keep our population on the rise.

Although I do think some people should be limited to how many kids they can have...people with 5+ kids that cannot even afford 2 or 3 kids, as an example. And yet those people will just keep poppin them out. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shame.gif" alt="" />
