One thing is for sure, if you answer the door in a ball gag with two mitts full of ground chuck and a french maid outfit, they don't hang around very long.

I think they'd code that as "JAR"....just ain't right.

I've always forced them to listen to my religious belief system before they can speak of theirs. Just the short hand title "Mother Earth Discordianism" gets most of them worried. It pushes the right buttons to get them to want to leave quickly. Of course my friend who came up with the short hand title is still trying to figure out if being called an orthadox Discordian is a compliment or insult.

Believe how you want to, but I've always had some trouble with the idea that an omnipotent, all-knowing, and omnipresent creature needs and wants my admiration and to hear my entreaties and be worshiped by me.

I always liked Harlan Ellison's image of god as a madman, myself. Ellison is the guy who wrote the novela "A Boy and His Dog", on which was based the movie of the same name starring (and the first correct answer gets an "attaboy").

Jesus had one fine philosophy on how to treat others, but I also have a lot of trouble with the "son of God" stuff. I still think it was a great alibi for a young pregnant Mary...

Leonidas welcomes all beliefs into his fair Sparta, and proceeds to disembowel them with equal passion.
