Getting those cone things off is a pain but repacking the bearing is a piece of cake. Like the others posted, latex gloves, big plop of grease in your palm and smack the bearing edge into it repeatedly until you see it sploogh out the top. I just did it today and it was the least of my concerns. When you put the cones back in, place the gap outward so you can get a punch on the edge next time. Also, a little SeaFoam half an hour before you plan on removing them does wonders.
