Initial start up is the concern ..

larger filter takes longer to build system pressure ..


as we know the chain is the first passage in the oiling system , to get oiled .. and I think the most crutial . Larger filter hinders pressure build on start up .. causing premature chain wear .

it's only mili seconds .. but hey , why help you engine fail .
