Ok.. just had a little down time to post this. As everybody knows whats going on in So Cal with the fires. I've been put on a medical task force for the past 3 days. We are handling the San Diego fires. Its pretty crazy out here but we are all pulling together and making things work. here are a few pics that I was able to get up with my cell phone camera. I wish I had my real camera but this was a last minute deployment.

Awesome that you are helping. Keep up the good work.

Notice how civil the people at the sports staidum are. What income level and color skin tone are all the people?

I just want to tell you both good luck, and we're all counting on you.

Some additional conversation for you sparkem.

As with Katrina these fires are man-made. You might want to look at last Sunday's 60 Minutes program if you can get the video on the net.

This thread should probably be moved.

Thanks everybody,
we are running on 12 hour blocks now. The first night I ran for 29 hours before I got 2 hours sleep then up again. The local support here has been great. The donations of food and just simple things like tooth brushes are what you look for. That and clean socks and undies.

Be safe out there bro.........I was assigned to the "Old Fire" In 2003.....the Lake Arrowhead area so I know how you feel! Get sleep when you can! Coincidently Lake Arrowhead is burning again. We have 2 strike team engines from Tracy there....if you see em tell them we are praying for them, you and the evacuees.

My wife and I were just out there on vacation to visit my son. He attends UC Irvine. It was shocking to see areas that we had driven through a couple weeks before turned into hell on earth. I had even taken them up to the Lake Arrowhead area. We have been following the news and getting text from number one son. I think the difference in SoCal is that everyone is working together to fix the problem rather that trying to find someone to blame like during Katrina. There's a lot less of "you owe me something" and more of "how can I help?"
