I've been swapping a motor from an 86 td into an 88 trooper. I'm almost done, but discovered the radiator had both the side brackets loose from the lower tank because of a good amount of rust. Thought no problem, just have the radiator shop disassemble, sandblast and resolder the thing. The guy soldered it back up, but kept finding small leaks in the core and can't get it to hold pressure. I asked about a re-core and he checked out prices. Said that with the increasing prices of copper a recore job for this rad. would be about $500. Not sure of the price breakdown, but he said the new core was more than half of that cost. Is this reasonable? anyone know of a source for replacement cores or radiators for the turbo troopers? HELP!
Just last year I bought a new rad. for the 88 gas trooper and it was a fairly reasonable $185.

Thanks for the advise
