I fried whatever it is that controls the intermittent speed on my windshield wipers...
The cause: heavy snow preventing movement of the wiper arms, despite this, I left the wipers on.

The symptoms: Turn wiper control to intermittent and the wipers move back and forth like they were on the slow setting, turn wipers to slow and they behave normally and turn wipers to fast and the behave normally.

The question: I've been told there's an intermittent wiper control module (and the Haynes manual's only reference to the module is in a wiring diagram) somewhere in the car, however, I'm at a loss as to where to look! I am about to replace the entire wiper control switch (it looks like there's some circuitry in that assembly that could get messed up), but I'm not entirely sure if this is the right step. Can anyone out here tell me if I'm doing the right thing? Also, I'm curious to know if anyone can either describe to me the appearance (or even better, a picture) of the intermittent wiper control module?

Thanks in advance.
Dave
