you should have no trouble with fitting them with a 3" BL. you may need to trim the fenders a little bit and perhaps pound in the inner wheelwell/firewall to prevent rubbing there. may contact frame at full steering lock depending on wheel backspacing.
I ran 35's with no lift (all trimming and pounding) for a good year or so. As long as you are in a fairly flat area you shouldn't have trouble getting going. and if you aren't just forget about fifth gear. Be easy on it offroad if you are bound up or struggling for traction (bouncing) because it's much easier to grenade the cv's with 35's.
