I assume you are referring to the Rush letter. Are you implying he kept the real one because everyone knows that the senate really did write one. Harry Reid even mentioned it on the senate floor the last day of bidding. How would you authenticate something like that? If they can prove that it is indeed senate stationary what would they have to prove next, maybe verify the signers?

I was implying that it certainly would be very difficult to ascertain or not if that letter was really legitimate.

It seems to have us constituants and tax payers wondering the issue of honesty and credibility regarding the letter.


And if it was legit. then why the fake letter to begin with?



Maybe I'm just wondering it's issue of being authentic?

How so? The democrats who signed the letter admitted on the senate floor that is was real.



What fake letter? I listened all that week and don't recall a fake letter. He did make a scan available for anyone to download since he stated that it was our tax dollars that paid for the letter to begin with. The auction was for the original.



Still don't know what you are talking about. There was the original and there was a scan. The original was locked in a Haliburton case and I believe was only taken out at the speech he gave and another time to scan it. Got a link or something about the "second letter?"
