Need a Spot
So my wife has a 95 4runner with electrical windows... the front passenger, drivers side rear, and hatch windows are all having issues. The rear hatch window I think has two tracks to guide it down, the right side came off track or something because it now rolls down crooked. and the two passenger windows up front intermittently get stuck in the fully rolled down position... not cool going into winter time. eventually they'll come back up after a while.

also, the heating-a/c lever section on the console, the backlights are out in her 4runner and in my '92 pretaco... WTF? anybody else have these issue? Any advice?

1) Rear window-- you get to tear into it and fix hardware.

2) Check the kid safety switch on your driver's controls for the windows; troubleshoot

3)AC/heat console-- what about it?

4) Start by changing your tail light bulbs.

We have an FSM for a '93 sticky'd in the early trucks section and one for a 96 sticky'd in the Taco section that can help you troubleshoot the windows; check it out.

rear cant really jump the track but the channel that the bottom of the window sits in can get rusty and pull off. Another likelyhood is that the the two crescent shaped gears that make up the regulator assembly may have jumped out of sync due to worn/rusty teeth on the gears. If they get a tooth off the window will get lower on one side.
