For the last month or so i've been having a squealing noise from under the hood. At first I thought it was the alt, but no...then I replaced all three belts...noise still there. The lower idler bearing for the a/c is good also. So I stopped by my shop that's always treated me good here locally and the guy says there's an idler bearing behind the cover plate that's behind the center pulley. I thought at first this was where the waterpump is and he said no. There's a cover plate behind the pulley and there's a bearing back there and that's the one making the noise. What sucks is to get the bearing replaced a whole kit has to be bought with new a bearing, plate, and fan clutch. Kit is over $450, installed $600. I don't mind small projects but this might be out of my league and I'll have to get it done by them which is fine. Anyone ever mess with this area of the engine... Is it alot of work? If their labor charge is only $150, it can't be that big of a job...

Thanks...
