I recently installed an Ironman suspension kit (4 coils, 2 gas shock struts and 2 gas shocks) on my Gen 3 DiD and subsequently carried out a quick flex test along the lines described earlier in this thread (I did not do a full test including wheel travel graphs as before, because temperatures in the garage are starting to get uncomfortably high this time of year ).

It seems as though the stiffer springs reduce the flex by an average of 8.5%. This was as expected: the lift is achieved through a higher spring rate, while a reduced spring rate is beneficial to flex.

Still, if the front anti-roll bar is disconnected, the flex is significantly better than standard.

By the way, the lift with the Ironman kit is of the order of 40mm (around 1.6").

The next step will be getting some decent tyres to replace the Super-Slip-Non-Grips currently installed .
