Getting the Wheeling Fever
I've had some problems with my idle in my 3.4 swap and I havn't gotten to all the things I've been told to do and check yet but I I've been thinking about changing ECM's and I thought I better start looking now. Is it the ECM out of 91 and 92 3.1 Rodeo's that I need and are they a direct swap, do I need to do anything else? And does anyone know where I can get a remaned one reasonable or know anyone with a good used one?

The one that came with the 2.8 in your trooper should run it just fine. It'll learn what it needs to know.

Did you put on a 4.3 TBI with the swap? MY old TBI from the 2.8 wouldn't run the 3.4
It only got better when I put the TBI from the 4.3 on.
After that, check the vacuum hoses and such.
Shouldn't need another ECM

looks like he did swap in the 4.3TB from this thread:
http://www.4x4wire.com/forums/showf...mp;amp;sb=5&o=14&fpart=1

you should not need a different ECM. but, if you want to try an ECM from a 3.1L, i do have a spare you are welcome to. just shoot me a pm or email. but again, it shouldn't be necessary.
