My BFG AT's did the same thing. Had an alignment done twice, roated them, they still wore on the outside edge first.

I'll probobly get flamed for this but I really liked the Dunlop Mud Rovers on my 4Runner. They're a bit louder than the BFG's but much quiter than most MT's. After 3 years of driving they still had decent tread. Gripped like crazy in snow and sand.

Mine too. Any idea why this is happening? Is it specific to BFG ATs, or more general?

If tires wear in that manner it is from the alignment!!
It is in the best interest of ANY tire store to have tires to wear out!!
NEVER get a tire store to align a front end. Always take your vehicle back to the dealer for alignment. If your tires wear unusually the dealer is up the creek!!
