I just rewired my engine compartment wire for wire except the fact that I bypassed the EECU and went with an MC2100 and ACCEL ignition and Nutter Bypass. I could have a bad selenoid as it is the only part that is not new. I just started it for the first time since I started this adventure. It starts and runs beautifully. When I turn the ignition switch to stop, it doesn't turn off. Had to choke it off. I have done a little bit of under dash stuff, but nothing that should have to do with ignition.

whaddya think?

I think you should test the hot wire to your coil.. It should be connected to a wire that will shut off with the key..

Hey Kev...Make sure your ignition wires are not on a constant hot. That could be the prob. I hope we didn't wire the same prob into mine.

Quadratec has starter solenoids for 12.99. I looked at the AZ website, and only found a painless solenoid kit that was like almost $40...just cause it came with a few wires, oh yeah, and the brand name. But I remember getting just the solenoid there for like $15 or a little less.

Oh yeah...you get to help me finish up my under dash wiring this weekend...so I hope you are ready. There's a few things that I'm not sure about under there.

Woohoo, we'll be done with your friggin car wash tonite!!

No I got it figured. I need a diode on the small wire of the two wire connector on the alternator. part# 276-1143 from Radio Shack. B you might need one too.

Here are some pics of a bypassed EECU. Sorry some of the wires aren't OEM color, but feel free to ask a question. I did this myself, with no previous experience in wiring up an engine. I just studied the diagrams and took my time. It's not that hard. The nutter is fuzzy and the new black is supposed to be purple. A few of you have asked questions about this same thing. So here it is. Anyone can do it.

And here's my new steering just for giggles:

Kev...all your links just go to the photobucket homepage. Don't copy the url at the top of the screen, you gotta copy the image code underneath the image.

Fixed it for ya.
