I've learned my lesson, took me two times, but I wont be paying to ship anything UPS again.
I avoid those people at all costs. I purchaed a New bass guitar a couple of years ago. It was hard to find, and they dont make them anymore. Anyway, it was shipped to me UPS. When the guy delievered it, my wife was slow in getting to the door. When she opened it, he was already walking away. Thing is, he was DRAGGING the box across the pavement and down our steps, CLUNK CLUNK CLUNK. There were pieces of guitar on the ground. I called them, and they said to bring it down to their office so they could investigate. Their conclusion? "Improperly packaged." They took ZERO responsiblity for their guy dragging it across the ground and down my steps. I try to never do business with them. They are thieves.

Alright, the kit is here and work starts Saturday... Wish I had tomorrow off, I'd start then. I'll try and put together a bit of a write up as I go, with pictures. I think I'll be pretty much doing this alone so I'm a little freaked out, but I've never turned down a good project. The trooper will be in the garage for 2-3 weeks I think, not just for this but I plan on fixing some rust issues as well. I'm hoping it will all turn out real nice in time for some canadian west coast winter wheel'n. Anyone in the Vancouver area that can turn a wrench?? I think this is going to be a fun weekend.

Getting a late start on the project today. Just starting to get everything stripped and ready for tomorrow. The rear area of the Trooper has 4 skinny mounts in the kit, watch for the 2 of them that maybe hidden on your Trooper. Mine were because I didnt have enough light too see them well. and almost gave up on the whole thing. Can't find these. Also it says the heater hose attached to the back of the engine block, how do you access this to disconnect/lengthen it? Thanks. JTW

Alright, someone post a response to this. I've got a heater under the seat in my trooper, is there anything I need to do to the lines while doing the body lift?
Tomorrow I'll be jacking it up and hope to have the BL complete with the wheels on. Planning on ordering a suspension lift next month, really looking forward to the final product.
Still not sure on where the heater hose is on the "back of the block", I guess I've got to cut and extend it. I know it's on the back of the block BUT how do I get to it? What's the easiest access point? Also, in the directions it says to disconnect the clip from the clutch hydraulic line (underneath body).... I've looked and can't find this. Could it be the clip from the fire wall?
Thanks in advance, Chris

No you shouldnt have to even bother with the Slave Cylinder at all, I didnt have to. Just keep an eye on it as with all connections. You have a heater under your seat? What Model was this on? I never heard of Isuzu Troopers with a heater under the seat. You hose for the "back of the block" maybe on the 2.6L 4Banger. Maybe, Should be the shorter skinnier hose that runs into the firewall on the drivers side.

Sorry, I have the V6. Ya I've got a heater under the driver seat that heats the back of the trooper. In the instructions it says to detach the heater hose from the "back of the block", cut it, and install the insert to lengthen it. I'm just not sure how to get to it if it's on the back of the block. It's a 1991 Trooper LS 4dr

If you are not able to get to it and it has to be cut for an extension anyway, I see no harm in adding said extension at a point in the line that you are able to reach.

well i'm ready to start jacking. Everything is done now BUT the heater hose extension. The way it looks like it comes off the block it goes UP into the fire wall. Maybe it's possible that this heater hose extension is for a newer model trooper or the 4 banger. I'll just jack slow and keep trying to look.
