Yeah, all the other guys in the paddy wagon (sp?) said the same thing. Thing was, I WASN'T. It was both finals week, and two days before nationals. I was with the team, and we weren't drinking...not a drop. We were walking down the sidewalk, and a cop had a kid up against the truck, slamming his body repeatedly against the truck. I said "ooooooo, look at the tough guy". Didn't see the other cop standing right in front of me. He started screaming "I'll show you a tough guy", and threw my ass up against the truck. Took my license, and tossed me in the truck. My friends were all trying to tell them I hadn't been drinking, but they wouldn't listen, and threatened to arrest them all if they didn't go away. I was never given ANY type of test, or anything. Was booked and stuck in a cell. My girlfriend came in the morning and bonded me out, and we went to court. Told my story to the judge, and he gave me the bond $ back, plus 50 bucks for "time served". Out of the 20+ guys who were in court that morning for being drunk, I was the ONLY one who didn't plead no contest. Judge took me into his chambers and let me tell my story. Turns out he knew my coach, so also agreed to have the arrest exponged (sp?) in two years...said something about he couldn't do anything about the arrest record at the time. I've never even checked to see if it WAS removed from my record. I was given TS and above clearances in the Army though.
