Will a Jeep bumper work on a 2001 Sportage without major modifications and if so which model/year Jeep, and any other non Kia parts that people have found to work.

Anything you do to Your Rig is gunna have to be custom including bumpers = they did not build enouf of these rigs for the aftermarket world to give a crap.
It's gunna customized parts or nuthin.
My front bumper was made for a Sammy = I hade to make it fit.
Why go around? When You can go over!

best bet would be one for a 4-runner or rodeo/amigo, unless you plan to cut the original mounts off and either move them or make some that fit the sportage frame, then you could go with almost anything at all. if you want something to look right, have it custom built, might cost a little more, but there are plenty of places that can do it.
(edited to delete local shop, because, for some reason, i thought you were local, no biggie).

Ya looks aren't as important as functionality, I was just trying to find out what other vehicles that do have aftermarket bumpers available for them have the same or close to it width as a Kia, drilling new holes is easy and making new mounts isn't that bad either, just don't want a lot of over hang that needs to be cut off of an expensive bumper or not enough bumper.

Just get dave to make you one, or make one your self or get one made, there are at least a dozen shops in a 5 mile radius of where i work that would do this, just find a yellow pages and go hunting, aim for a small independant shop they take more pride in their work!
