AS far as the RE-tread issue....I would just rather buy the new tire!

Don't trust Re-Tread ------and the cost is almost the same <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/zombie.gif" alt="" />

believe me, trust them.

and also, the price is nowhere near the same, like almost 80 bucks per tire difference between HiTech and "Discount Tire's" price on BFG's, for a 35" tire.

Hi-Tech- $112, shipped

BFG- almost $200.

and as far as the DOT approved statement up the page a bit- i just meant tires need to be roadworthy in order to be sold in the US. no, they don't check your tires in inspections in TX, they hardly check anything. most times, they walk around the truck, have you switch your turn signals on and honk the horn and hand you a sticker.

95 Sportage w/welded and 5.89 geared dana 44's on 38.5" TSL's.- SADLY SOLD
CURRENTLY - 2000 sportage, 5.38 gears, welded diffs, 35" tires, 5.5" lift
