Some Cherokees, Libertys and Grands have the NP242 transfer case which has part time and full time 4WD combined in one transfer case (just to muddy the waters <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />). I can't recall the gear order exactly: but, the NP242 includes 2 wheel drive, full time 4 wheel drive, a real neutral, and part time 4 wheel drive high, and part time 4 wheel drive low modes of operation. full time 4 wheel drive is basically all-wheel drive, allowing the vehicle to be in 4 wheel drive on dry pavement without causing harm to the transfer case.
