You're absolutely right! I was reading it backwards.
It seems kinda silly though that the 4wd part time is before the 4wd setting on the t case. (To common folk, part time means "part time" and 4wd would mean "full time")
However it seems that is backwards on this.
And yes, it has 2wd.....4wd pt......4wd......N......4wl.

So....what is the advantage of this T-Case?

In my mind the system is/was a sales pitch for socker moms.
Similiar is available on many vehicles today..
For my own use I've never seen the value of part time 4X4..

That's understandable coming from BJ. Obviously, one has to actually go fourwheeling to understand the value of part time 4WD! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

We have the NP242 t-case in our family Liberty Limited Edition and find the full time 4WD option provides better traction and control than 2WD in rainstorms on the interstate highway; and, when the highway is partially covered with patches of ice. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />


94 YJ, SOA, 2-1/2 Alcans, ARB-front, Detroit-Rear, 4.56:1 gears, Oasis Trailhead compressor, 4:1 Terra Lo, 37x12.50x15 SSR's, 8000 lb Ramsey, & etc.
